Dr. Prinson P Samuel

Assistant Professor in Chemistry

Department of Chemistry

Christian College Chengannur

Prinson P. Samuel is an Indian Chemistry educator and researcher. He completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry from University of Kerala and M. Tech. in Industrial Catalysis from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Shortly, he joined National Chemical Laboratory, Pune in the research group of Dr. A. P. Singh (Senior scientist) and worked towards developing an industrial catalytic technology for bisphenol A synthesis in a collaborative project with GE India Ltd. After being awarded the International Research and Training Group (IRTG) fellowship funded by German Research Foundation (DFG), he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Carola Schulzke in the University of Göttingen to pursue his doctoral studies in  the biomimetic  chemistry of Mo and W. In 2011, he was awarded a Doctorate degree from the University of Göttingen. Later on, he joined the research group of world renouned chemist Prof. Dr. Herbert W. Roesky at University of Goettingen, for his postdoctoral research and actively involved in exploring the chemistry of low coordinate transition metals and main group elements for more than six years. Currently he an assitant professor of Chemistry at Christian College Chengannur. He has co-authored more than 50 research articles with an h-index of above 25. He is an author of the book "Molybdenum and Tungsten Cofactor Model Chemistry" published by Nova Sci. Publ. New York.
